A well worn 1950’s bathroom was proving difficult to use and lacked natural light. The sink area faced an outside wall with two rusted steel framed windows that were completely covered by a homemade “medicine cabinet” with large heavy sliding panels. The unused tub made it difficult to access the shower. We reversed the bathroom, building a large walk in shower, in place of the vanity, on the outside wall. The old windows were replaced by glass block windows flooding the space with light. The new vanity includes a dressing table with a tall cabinet for additional storage. The lower section contains an electrical outlet so that small appliances can remain plugged in and out of site.
