The circa 1970’s kitchen was large enough, but the space was poorly utilized. It felt dark and cramped and badly in need of updating. For people who enjoy cooking, this kitchen took a lot of the fun out of the process.
We removed the soffits and opened the kitchen up to the dining room by creating a half wall with large cabinets and a countertop perfect of serving. The expanded cooking space, now the focal point from the dining room, features a decorative chimney hood and elegant wall tile to the ceiling. A large island with seating completed this transformation from dark and dingy to a show place that the whole family can enjoy.
