Another 1920’s Georgian with a very small kitchen. A previous owner compounded the problem by installing a very large bay window that occupies one entire wall. Without enough wall space to accommodate basic appliances, an undersized refrigerator stood alone partially blocking the hallway and encroaching on the doorway.
This project really demanded some creative design. We recaptured the bay window wall by installing a large custom Quartz counter top housing the sink, dishwasher, and double trash pullout. This area now has ample prep space as well as a view of the yard. Now there is enough room for a full size refrigerator, plus a bonus “landing area” cabinet and counter at the entrance.
