Concrete
Concrete countertops have an industrial look to them that works well in modern and traditional kitchens alike. Definitely not the best option for an inexperienced DIY’er. One of the biggest advantages of concrete countertops is they can shape it to fit any size. Concrete is durable and very heavy. It is also pourous and can crack easily. Similar to wood countertops, concrete will need special treatment and sealing to avoid bacteria.

Soapstone is an uncommon countertop option compared to granite or marble. Although a beautiful and unique choice. Soapstone has a warm, milky appearance that integrates well with other design features. Soapstone is stain resistant and easy to clean.
